Preparation for Submission

You must have the following items to make a submission: the article or review essay, accompanying media and the Media Identification Sheet.

All articles and review essays submitted must include a 250 to 500 word abstract. The articles should be between 7,500 and 12,000 words, including endnotes. The maximum file size should be justifiable by the argument of the paper. All articles and reviews must be submitted with the name of the media element indicated bold, in caps and square brackets on the page of its most important reference. Each element must carry the exact name as indicated in the manuscript (e.g., movie1.01, audio1.01, photo1.01). NOTE: Element names are different from the captions for those elements.

Authors must complete a Media Identification Sheet. Captions for elements are to be designated on the media identification sheet rather than on the media. Sample of Media Identification Sheet.

How to Submit

The submission of an article or review to Fire!!! is a two-step process:

Step One: After preparing your submission, authors must complete the Submission Form online.

Step Two: Provide Fire!!! with the manuscript and accompanying Media Identification Sheet. There are two options available: uploading the files or mailing them on CD/DVD.

Upload option: Fire!!! will send ftp information to those who select the upload option on the completed Submission Form.

CD/DVD option*: Send a digital versions of the manuscript and Media Identification Sheet and the accompanying media on CD or DVD to the following address:
